Writing Resolution


Goal1: This year, my writing resolution is to put more imaginary language in; meaning words that aren’t used all the time. This would help my work to by making my story or essay more exciting and easy to understand.
Method: I am going to achieve this goal by reading more books, using a thesaurus, and using a dictionary.

Goal2: To edit effectively so I could find punctuation errors with variety strategies, so it would help my writing when it gets published. This would help the readers understand and make my published work not look like a draft too.
Method: To accomplish this goal, I would need to do more D.O.L and even do some at home. Also while I make a paragraph in my first draft I should check for grammar mistakes.

Goal3: My writing goal is to provide more supporting details; like examples, restatements, and anecdotes. Using examples would help the readers compare their lifestyle or understand and say “that is me.”
Method: To accomplish this goal I would have to read more books and listen to a lot of lectures also look at some of my notes I have made at school, it could help.

Goal4: For my writing resolution, I believe I need to make my verb compositions fit in my sentence so the readers can understand if this story is about a past, present, or future.
Method: This goal can be accomplished by do D.O.L and looking over my work in every subjects I take that uses writing.

Goal5: Using conventions of punctuation in written composition wisely would help the essay not become a run on sentence.
Method: To accomplish this, I should go over my notes of commas and write a paragraph with commas in the right place.

Goal6: Using more variety of resources would help get my research done and more effective by using magazine, radio, etc…
Method: When researching for my topic I should go straight to the library and find and magazine related to my topic or ask a professor about it.

Goal7: My resolution for this year is to get more ideas for my essay or story so it would be more effective for readers.
Method: My method is to read a lot of books and look at some of my textbooks if I am doing some kind of research in writing.

Goal8: My resolution for this year is to make my essay or story as appropriate for the audience level by putting language that a level is suppose to be.
Method: The method is to talk a lot in English, to read more in English, look at the dictionary, and talk to people in all ages, so I could get some idea about the language. I could also go to an Elementary library and read some of their books and read the High school library and compare the way of writing.
